if its been done in house music, MK HAS PROBABLY HAD A HAND IN IT
Aka Marc Kinchen. His unique style combines the soulfulness of New York-styled garage with the energy of harder techno.
Throughout the '90s Kinchen worked on countless remixes for other artists, including the Nightcrawlers' seminal "Push the Feeling On," originally released in 1992. Kinchen also recorded several singles as MK before he moved to Brooklyn in 1991, forming his own Area 10 Records and releasing what many would consider his most influential track, "Burning." One of the best respected and most prominent figures in house music, his remix of "Look Right Through," by Morgan Geist and Damon Scott's Storm Queen reached number one on the U.K. pop chart in 2013. Following the success of his Stormqueen, Marc’s hot streak continued with tracks like ‘Forward Motion’ for Hot Natured, Lana Del Ray’s ‘Blue Jeans’ and ‘Summertime Sadness,’ his masterful UK #4 remix for Wankelmut’s ‘My Head Is A Jungle,’ and mixes for Sam Smith, Pharrell, Paloma Faith, Ellie Goulding, Disclosure, Haim, Mary J. Blige, Diplo, Rudimental, and many more. Most recently his late 2018 release with Jonas Blue and Becky Hill charted in the UK at number 12.
